Full funding available for a student to complete a master’s (and possibly doctoral degree if desired) in Norway and Sweden. All coursework is available in English in the aquaculture program at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences, and accommodation during fieldwork will be provided at the Tjarno Marine Station of Gothenburg University. Some travel within Europe will also be funded, particularly to Denmark. The student should have a degree in biology, aquaculture (or similar) with laboratory and field experience and excellent written skills in English. The student will be expected to participate in feeding and grow-out trials of oysters and should have a strong interest in shellfish aquaculture. Start dates negotiable, with anticipated start August 15, 2010 or earlier.
Anticipated annual salary of $35,000/year, including travel and tuition.
