REGISTRATION INFORMATION

 

Registration fee covers all presentations, proceedings, President's Reception, special sessions, workshops, posters and health breaks.

 

Payment may be made by Visa, Master Card or American Express or by cheque (in Canadian funds payable to: Master Promotions Ltd.).

 

CANADIAN and AMERICAN REGISTRANTS (non-students):
Register either on-line (click here) or by mailing or faxing a copy of the registration form to Aquaculture Canada 2010 c/o Master Promotions Ltd. Box 565, Saint John, NB E2L 3Z8 Fax:506-633-4993. Please do not submit registration forms using both methods.

 

STUDENTS, NON-CANADIAN and NON-AMERICAN REGISTRANTS:
Register by mailing or faxing a copy of the registration form to Aquaculture Canada 2010 AAC Home Office 16 Lobster Lane, St.Andrews, NB, E5B 3T6 Fax:506-529-4609.

 

For students to receive special student pricing, proof of enrolment (supervisor’s signature) must be included with registration.
 

There is a non-refundable fee of $25 for conference registration cancelled up to May 7, 2010. After that time no refunds will be issued. After May 7, 2010 registrations will be accepted on-site only.

 

Register by March 5th to be entered into a draw for a free nights accommodation at the Delta, St. John's.

The President's Reception

Everyone is welcome at the first official event of AC10 and CH10 − the President’s Reception. This year the President’s Reception will be held within the tradeshow in Salon A of the Delta St.John’s. Come and enjoy this informal event.

The Joe Brown BBQ

This popular annual event supports the AAC Student Endowment Fund (SEF). The SEF is an important source of funds for student travel awards as well as the AAC Student Scholarship Program. The evening will be filled with a variety of entertainment, good food and drink.

Newfoundland Aquaculture Site Tours

 

Tour 1: Finfish Tour CANCELLED

Day one (Thursday) will entail travel to the scenic Bay d’Espoir area of the province to St. Albans. Upon arrival, site visits of a steelhead trout growing operation and an arctic char marine ongrowing operation will take place. Relax in the evening with local hospitality. On day two (Friday), a short drive to a modern cod nursery operation will take place in the morning in Fortune Bay (Belleoram), and the afternoon will be taken up with site visits to large scale, modern salmon farming operations on the coast of Newfoundland. Enjoy the scenic cruises to farming operations in both areas of our province. Day three will be a travel day back to St. John’s, with possible stops in local scenic areas if all agree.

Tour 2: Shellfish Tour

 

Visit a state of the art, modern mussel farming operation with a capacity of over 1,000 tonnes annually. Situated in the cool, clean subarctic environment of Notre Dame Bay, Newfoundland, you will be exposed to a full tour of the seed collection sites and ongrowing sites in this deep water farming operation. A tour of a modern processing & packaging facility will be included. Enjoy the local scenery; this is iceberg season and efforts will be made to visit these if in the vicinity of the farm. The tour requires an overnight stay in central Newfoundland and you will be treated to local hospitality in the evening of May 20th.
